A modular wardrobe – growing by the season, adapting to our needs and ever-changing: the collection twists our understanding of the garments we wear. Simple square forms become elaborate and subtly draping silhouettes. Bold colours in seemingly erratic prints are engaged by graphic black-and-white chess and stripes. Embroidery stands off against sequins highlights.
Complemented with handcrafted, colour-graded accessories made by glass artist Matteo Gonet – materially antagonistic to all textiles – the collection draws its inspiration from a former by-product: the negative image of a spray paint. Instead of being discarded, this mirror image becomes the starting point for an artistic venture leading to a series of prints in blazing colours.
